Wow, wow, wow! I just completed the labor/birth doula training through PLD and I am absolutely blown away at how much knowledge they provided me. The training was incredibly interesting and Sarah had me gripped from the moment I sat down. She puts off such a radiance that is all encompassing and genuine. She does not shy away from a challenge and stands ready to advocate for her patient and their rights whenever the situation arises. In a world where women are seen as weak and incapable, she makes them feel strong and empowered. She taught us to do the very same. I have so much confidence in what I have learned over the past weekend and I truly cannot thank her enough!

When I reached out to Sarah about my thoughts on becoming a doula in my small community, she was nothing but supportive! I signed up right away without much thought after talking to her. Although the training was online due to CoVid, Sarah did not disappoint! The training was very informative and covered everything I needed to learn to support laboring moms during their special time. Not only did it focus on labor, but the training really allowed for me to check in with myself and define my own role in becoming a doula! I definitely recommend taking this training if your are interested in becoming a doula!

I just complete the Professional Doula Training and wanted to take a moment to share my experience for anyone who is interested in (or on the fence about) becoming involved in serving the birth community. Sarah’s extensive knowledge and passion for birthing families carried us through a variety of topics. I especially enjoyed the group discussion regarding legal rights and consent of the patient, as this is a topic i believe is misunderstood by many.
